Thought in a loop

I get a thought, something to say.
I write it down, hip-hip-hooray!
I read it back and ‘Ooo,’ I think,
‘This thought of mine, better said like this…’

Press Enter twice — old down the page —
And off I write, I start again!
I read it back and ‘Ooo,’ I spy,
‘It’s missing bits, this thought of mine…’

Expand, I do — I probe and prod!
No stone unturned! All horses shod!
I read it back and ‘Ooo,’ I say,
‘This thought of mine seems somewhat frayed…”

Snip, I weave — I splice and throw —
These knots right here, they’ve got to go!
I read it back and ‘Ooo,’ I curse,
‘This thought of mine, I’ve made it worse…’

Delete to new, this page is fresh —
I write real good — it’s like my best!
I read it back and ‘Ooo,’ I find,
‘I’ve muddled this thought with another of mine…’

Press Enter twice, lets start again —
And off I write — keep thought the same!
I read it back and ‘Ooo,’ I think,
‘It’s better, yes — better said like this…’
