A long weekend trying to pick my way through the crowds for my lockdown constitutionals

The sheer volume of people on the common and seafront has been ridiculous.

Ridiculous doesn’t even cover the sheer volume of people out and about.

Social distancing?

Hardly. Can’t do it. Too many people.

Unfortunately, in addition, the council has closed roads and car parks to discourage these visitors, but sun-seekers need to park their cars — I popped to Tesco, got back, and had to get someone to help me park the car because the only space I could find was tiny.

Today, avoiding humans, has seen me make brown sugar with the intention of rustling up an apple crumble sundae.
