3 years of weekends

When starting this little journey of weekends, I was clutching at something to write. I was looking to slow time, regain control, and remember my life.

After the first year, I was surprised it had been better than I’d remembered. I was taken by my bias towards remembering negatively. I was pleased to be proved wrong.

The second year didn’t get reviewed. What with migraines and battles, I couldn’t find the inspiration to look back. Had I, though, I would’ve found amongst the memories ones that laughed.

This year, I look back and realise that I’ve been remembering things right. Amongst the positives and negatives, I’ve maintained a nice balance of memory that’s accurate. I might still get swayed by a moment, but it’s good to confirm I’m more balanced today than biased.
