First ever picture of a black hole πŸ˜²πŸ˜πŸ₯³

When it comes to space related things, I’m there!

I love all things space, like stars, planets, and aliens (’cause they have to be out there, somewhere). I’m easily impressed by pictures of other worlds β€” utterly awe-struck is probably the best way to put it. I find our planet not being the only planet/body an absolutely wonderful thing.

What I would really, really love is to see one of these planets they keep finding in a faraway galaxy that’s not an artists impression. One day, I hope. One day soon, because…

THEY’VE TAKEN A PICTURE OF A BLACK HOLE!

When I read at lunchtime that astronomers have actually managed this I kind’a creamed my pants.

A BLACK HOLE!

Like OMG β€” super amazing!

I couldn’t wait to get home and see it.

Well, I’m home now.

And…

I was expecting a little more than a burning anus.

I had in my minds eye a gloriously clear image, but this is certainly better than an artists impression.

One day, they’ll find a way to take HD pictures of 40 billion km wide black holes that live in a galaxy 500 million trillion km away.

But with my feels for the sore anus put aside, OMG SO BLOODY AMAZING!

It’s a black hole!
