There is one teeny downside to having a Great Clear-out and taking everything to the tip:
You chuck the things you later need.
Like the book of post-its that I recall thinking I’d never need (because I haven’t for years). Yeah, need them. Or the original handwritten wall-plan of Frienemy. I suspect this was in the box of paperwork I glanced through and tipped into recycling.
I’m sure I’ll find more I’ve chucked.
On a side note, I have lost 3 teaspoons, all of my kitchen towels, and the smallest sharp knife — I wouldn’t have chucked those, would I?
