The goods & the bads inside

In the sense of mind, it is very easy to focus on the bad and negative and not see any good anywhere at all — hard programmed, almost. Very easy indeed.

Indifference

Fear

Anger

Sorrow

Resentment

Frustration

Hate

They know no different, the bad. Like hellsome toddlers, the bad only knows how to cause havoc and scream and demand our attention every minute they’re awake.

The good, on the other hand, is shy.

Passion

Hope

Gratitude

Joy

Contentment

Patience

Love

The goods and the positives are more reserved than their brash siblings, are more comfortable within themselves, and don’t need their hands to be held.

I suppose, the goods are an independent part of me while the bads are absolutely helpless — as the bad screams ’cause it can’t tie its shoelaces the good is dressed, is out the door, and waiting for us on the pavement. Just because the good is happy to simply be doesn’t mean I’m free to give all of my attention to the naughty — in equal measure, it’s only fair. And if the bad don’t like it then, well, I’m sorry, but life is sometimes a crock of shit.

We’re a family; the good, the bad, and me. We’re fucked-up but still a family, and that’s important to cherish.
